Have you read the staff handbook? I have given it a look, yes.

Do you have any other experience with staffing?: I have limited experience being a super admin a long time ago. However, I do have 5 years of experience as a custom content/UI/UX/model developer and technical maintenance on Star Wars RP servers, and that way I have technically been part of staff/development teams for quite a while.

What date did you start playing on the community? 15.01.2024

What date did you make your forums account? 21.01.2024

Are you a staff member in another community? I am a Lead Developer on an inactive server and a part-time developer/development consultant on another

Why do you believe that you deserve staff? (150 Word Minimum) I believe I deserve a position in the support staff primarily because of my experience. I have been part of many communities throughout my 5-year career as a developer and have witnessed many mistakes of the support staff department, giving me a strong database of behaviors/actions/reactions to avoid as well as an understanding of how to handle certain more complicated/delicate staff-related situations. Moreover, with my development experience, I have gained deep insight into the inner workings of the game, its mechanics, popular server trends, hosts, custom content, and most popular and new add-ons both on the workshop and on the various markets around. Finally, I would like to add that if I do get accepted into the staff team I can bring a lot of teamwork, conscientiousness, professionalism, and new ideas to the table as well as invaluable insight into the game and genre as a whole.

Scenario questions:

Select any two of the following four questions to answer for this section. Please note, in the scenario questions we are not expecting perfect answers. We are assessing your critical thinking skills, your ability to use the staff handbook, and come to reasonable conclusions.

Q1: How would you handle someone that is Mass RDMing and when you bring him/her to an admin sit all they do is curse at you?
After I have brought the person to an admin sit I would primarily focus on finding out the reasoning behind their behavior. I would act with courtesy and try to etsablish a connection with the person, explaining what they did wrong and the further actions that will be taken by me as a member of staff. However, if they are not willing to reason nor tell me why they have been Mass RDMing, I would put a pin in that and jail them for the time being, potentially also mutting them as not to spamm ooc/comms chat. Then I would go into a different area of the staff room and bring a couple if not all of the victims of the Mass RDM for some cross-examination. I will also take a look at the blogs for further evidence . After getting a clearer picture of the situation I would go back to the suspect and explain my findings and what they did wrong. I would unmute them to see their response and if they are still cursing at me I would handle the staff disrespect according to the staff penal code and if there isn't a clear reason behind the Mass RDM it will be handled the same way.
NOTE: It will also be taken into consideration the possibility of their actions being part of some kind of an infection/mind control event, which would call for a consultation with the gamemaster on duty if there is any.

Q2: You are involved in a staff sit that involves 5 different players. The players begin to get frustrated and the sit becomes very toxic and unproductive. What would you do in this situation?
I would most likely call in more staff members to assist and/or a more experienced/senior staff member to provide guidence.
If that is not an option and I am alone my suggestion would be to separate the 5 players into different areas of the staff room or have them brought 1 by 1 in order to perform cross-examination with 1 person at a time, a couple of times per person if needed. After getting a clearer picture of the situation I would bring them all together and explain the situation and any missunderstandings in the sit prior to separating them. If people talk over each other and cut each other off they would be muted/gagged. If there were any violations of the server rules they would be handled according to the staff penal code. If any of them need direct assistance I would help them out with what I can. Finally I would apologise for the toxic environment prior to separating them and then finalise the sit.
